The Central Committee of PCP, meeting on September 17 and 18, 2022, evaluated the evolution of the international situation; examined the national political situation and the necessary solutions for the country; defined priorities of intervention and to strengthen the party; approved the regulations of the preparatory phase and the draft resolution of the National Conference, to be held on November 12 and 13.

PCP condemns the new Israeli aggression against Gaza

The Portuguese Communist Party condemns Israel's ongoing bombing of the Gaza Strip, which has already caused killed dozens and wounded hundreds among its population. This new aggression is entirely the responsibility of the Israeli government, which in recent days has opted for an escalation of confrontations, by murdering a leader of the Palestinian resistance, also killing civilians and children during this elimination operation that targeted a residential building.

Galp's profits illustrate who is gaining from the speculative increase in fuel prices

Galp's profits in the first half of the year have created a well-deserved outrage. That's 420 million euros in a single semester, an impressive figure, an increase of 153% compared to the already formidable figures of the first half of 2021. The figure would be more impressive if the Media had chosen to highlight the quantification of these profits according to international financial reporting standards (IFRS), because the amounts increase to 713 million euros in profits, 207% more than in the same period in 2021.
