10 years since Israel’s aggression against Gaza, PCP calls for solidarity with the Palestinian people
27 December 2018
1. Today marks the tenth anniversary of Israel's unleashing of the criminal war against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip known as “Operation Cast Lead”. During three weeks, Israel indiscriminately bombed the Palestinian population beleaguered by siege - even denied the right to flee from the Israeli bombings - causing around 1,300 deaths, including 400 women and children.

At the request of several media about the action that took place today [December 21], the PCP makes public:
21 December 2018
The PCP considers that, regardless of the promoters, the concealment of the reactionary aims, the demagogically invoked issues, there is a huge contrast between an artificial media promotion in a seldom seen extent and the scarce participation that took place (only a few hundred people in the whole country). This reflects a clear distancing and rejection by the workers and the Portuguese people of this action and its obscure intentions.

Portugal and the European Union - Breaking dependencies, defending sovereignty, building another Europe
17 December 2018
I would like to thank all the guests who accepted our invitation to share with us valuable contributions to PCP’s reflection and proposal.
This reflection and the mobilisation of wills to open new avenues for Portugal and for Europe is all the more important when the general framework is that of a growing and almost absolute unsustainability of the situation brought about by the capitalist integration process of the European Union and the policies and ideological matrix that characterises it.

On the European Council of December 13th and 14th
14 December 2018
While confirming deadlocks and contradictions that mark the present situation of profound and protracted crisis of the European Union, the discussions, decisions and directions indicated by the European Council continue the deepening neoliberalism, militarism and federalism of the EU and contradict the interests of workers, people and the Country, and the other peoples of Europe.

Concerning the Agreement on the Withdrawal of the UK from the EU
25 November 2018
1. The approval by the European Council of the Agreement on the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU) and the Political Declaration about the future EU-UK relations do not mean the end of this process, as the British Parliament and the European Parliament have yet to pronounce themselves.
2. While the conclusion of this process is still uncertain, PCP reaffirms four central premises of its analysis and position:

Portugal needs an alternative policy capable of building a Portugal with a future
