On the result of the second round of the Presidential elections in Brazil

The result obtained by the Bolsonaro candidature in Brazil’s presidential elections represents – coming in the sequence of the institutional coup d’Etat which deposed the legitimate President Dilma Rousseff in 2016 and the arbitrary arrest of Lula da Silva who was banned from running in the elections – an extremely serious development in the offensive against the rights of the Brazilian workers and people, which embodies a programme of intensified exploitation and assault on social rights, of an aggression against freedoms and democracy, of an abdication of national sovereignty and subordinati

"On the European Parliament’s decision on Hungary"

The PCP strongly denounces and condemns the attacks on democracy, social rights, fundamental freedoms and guarantees of the citizens in Hungary. On the Situation in Greece and the Impositions of the European Union

The attempt to present the so-called "end of the Greek bailout" as a decision favorable to the Greek workers and people is baseless.

The so-called "Financial Aid Programs" are, in fact, genuine pacts of aggression against States and peoples, instruments of a strategy of impoverishment, liquidation of rights, favoring the monopolist power and attacking national sovereignty.

Many others suffered terrible physical and psychological after effects, which also passed on to following generations.

PCP condemns the Basic Law on the State of Israel

The adoption by the Israeli Parliament of the new Basic Law on the State of Israel - of a Constitutional nature - enshrines the principles of a racist and segregationist State, which denies citizenship rights to its Palestinian Arab citizens and which confirms previously existing discrimination in Israeli legislation, represents a very serious qualitative step that institutionalizes the principles of a Zionist State of apartheid.
