End Israel's aggression against Iran! End the genocide of the Palestinian people! Peace in the Middle East!

The PCP considers Israel's aggression against Iran to be extremely serious and strongly condemns it, following the various and serious provocations and attacks it has carried out against Iran, the genocide of the Palestinian people and Israel's continuous bombings and occupation of Lebanese and Syrian territory.

PCP tables initiatives on labour legislation

PCP tables initiatives on labour legislation

The PCP is committed to combating right-wing politics, while at the same time intervening and taking initiatives. It is in this context that we are tabling four initiatives today with the aim of strengthening workers' rights and improving their working conditions.

PCP calls a March “Fulfil the Constitution. Raise wages and pensions, for a better life”

The living conditions of vast sectors of the population continue to deteriorate. Public Services, particularly the National Health Service, but also Public Schools, are deteriorating. There is a clear lack of answers in housing or in implementing the right to public nurseries and kindergartens.

In a democracy, the investiture of the Assembly of the Republic is an important moment and one that cannot ignore life out there

In a democracy, the investiture of the Assembly of the Republic is an important moment and one that cannot ignore life out there

Greetings Mr. President. The duties you are assuming once again are of enormous importance to the proper functioning of the Assembly of the Republic, as a sovereign body that must focus its attention on what really matters to the people, responding to their wishes and aspirations, for a Country of development and progress. There can be no room for offence, insult, discrimination or hate. We will intervene as always, openly, honestly and seriously at institutional level and in the political debate. With firmness and combativeness in the confrontation between political projects.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the importance of the struggle for peace

6 August 2024

There are some events that, because of their historical significance and the lessons they hold, will never be forgotten. Such is the case with the atomic bombings of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, on August 6 and 9, 1945, respectively. Bombings that immediately caused around 200,000 deaths and left an unspeakable trail of destruction and suffering.

On the worsening of the situation in the Middle East as a result of Israel's escalation of confrontation

2 August 2024

The PCP expresses its great concern in view of the escalation of the murders carried out by Israel of the head of Hamas' political leadership, Ismael Haniyeh, in Tehran, Iran, and of Hezbollah leaders in Beirut, Lebanon. These actions are an expression of Israel's condemnable policy of state terrorism, which seeks by all means to exacerbate tension and plunge the Middle East into a widespread confrontation, with even more dramatic consequences for the peoples of the region.

On the presidential elections in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

30 July 2024

The presidential elections in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were an important democratic moment, in which millions of Venezuelans took part and whose results reaffirmed popular support for the Bolivarian process, which is all the more significant when it is expressed in the context of decades of resistance to the successive interference and destabilisation operations promoted by the USA and the European Union against Venezuela.

For peace! For a system of collective security! No to war! No to NATO!

25 July 2024

The NATO Summit, which took place in Washington from July 9 to 11, was marked by the profusion of warmongering rhetoric, the affirmation of the offensive nature of this political-military bloc, the insistence on its strategy of confrontation and war, confirming that it is the greatest threat to peace and to the peoples of the world.

On the parliamentary elections in France

8 July 2024

The early parliamentary elections, held on June 30 and July 7 in France, were marked by a new setback for the political forces that have supported President Macron's neoliberal government, an increase in the number of elected members of the "New Popular Front" electoral coalition, which came first in the second round of the elections, and an increase in the number of elected members of the far-right "Rassemblement National", which did not, however, achieve a majority.

May 9: Victory Day over Nazi-fascism - For Peace! No to fascism and war!

9 May 2024

When celebrating the 79th. anniversary of the Victory over Nazi-fascism in World War II, it is imperative to remember that Nazi-fascism was the most violent and criminal form of exploitation and oppression spawned by capitalism, with its anti-communism, its racism and xenophobia, its attack on freedoms and democratic rights, its support of militarism and war.

Presentation of PCP's Commitment for the elections to the European Parliament

We present our commitment for the elections to the European Parliament with clarity and audacity and without illusions or half-truths

3 May 2024

Here we present our commitment for the elections to the European Parliament. We do so with clarity and audacity and, as always, without illusions or half-truths. Here are the proposals that we present to the people and the workers, what are the ideas and objectives that serve them, particularly at a time when so many new challenges arise. This is the moment in which the importance of having more MPs in the European Parliament is greater, providing a distinctive and courageous voice, who do not evade difficulties, and stand up to the great powers and the lords of money.

There, as here, we say what we do and do what we say

30 April 2024

Here we are accounting on the work carried out in the scope of the European Parliament by those elected on the CDU slates. Today we present the assessment of the work carried out, but our accountability is made every day, to the workers and the people. We said that the workers and the people could count on the CDU, five years later, we have fully fulfilled the commitments made. Those hearing us know, from their own experience, that our MPs were not closed in their offices in Brussels and Strasbourg.
