The celebrations of the 41 anniversary of the 25 April mobilized many hundreds of thousands of people which, in demonstrations, shows, cultural and sports initiatives, expressed their commitment to the values and realizations of the April Revolution and their will to see them implemented in the future of Portugal .

The PCP joins the campaign "The Peoples with Venezuela" and "The Global Day of Action in Solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela", on April 19, 2015, reaffirming the solidarity of the Portuguese communists with the Bolivarian Revolution and the demand to end the policy of interference, destabilization and aggression carried out by the USA – and by imperialism in general - against this South American country.

The PCP strongly condemns the adoption by the Ukrainian Parliament, last April 9, of a law to condition, and even prevent, the activity of the Communist Party of Ukraine, as well as of other democratic forces – a law that can only deserve the repudiation of all democrats and anti-fascists.

The Trade Union Confederation of Portuguese Workers – CGTP-IN – called a demonstration held on March 28 in Lisbon, to mark the National Youth Day. Young workers from around the country denounced the difficult living conditions they face, imposed by the parties of the right-wing policies of the PSD/CDS-PP government.
