PCP condemns the Basic Law on the State of Israel

The adoption by the Israeli Parliament of the new Basic Law on the State of Israel - of a Constitutional nature - enshrines the principles of a racist and segregationist State, which denies citizenship rights to its Palestinian Arab citizens and which confirms previously existing discrimination in Israeli legislation, represents a very serious qualitative step that institutionalizes the principles of a Zionist State of apartheid.

PCP condemns the massacre of Palestinians by Israel

The PCP strongly condemns the barbaric massacre carried out for weeks by Israel against the demonstrators of the "Great March of Return", which caused on May 14 alone, more than 50 Palestinians dead and thousands wounded.

The criminal nature of the leaders of Israel is clear in their calculated option of marking the 70th. anniversary of the creation of their State with a new massacre of the Palestinian people, confirming that the 70-year Catastrophe (Nakba) - which expelled from their homes and land more than 750,000 Palestinians - continues to this day.

The PCP condemns the brutal Israeli repression on Palestinian Land Day

The Portuguese Communist Party condemns the brutal violence of the Israeli military forces against the many thousands of Palestinian demonstrators who, on Land Day, demonstrate on the so-called Great March of Return.
