More than 100.000 people participated last Saturday in Athens in a huge rally organised by the CP of Greece. Marked by a strong protest against capital’s and Greek government’s class offensive under the excuse of combat against the crisis, with an appeal for mobilization for “new struggles” and the presentation by the CP of Greece of an alternative of progress in the framework of a struggle for Socialism in Greece.

1. The future of our country is being compromised. Under the pretext of the crisis and the public deficit, big capital is aiming to liquidate historic rights that have taken years to achieve, attacking the living conditions of workers and the people, pushing the country towards decline, targeting democratic rights and compromising national sovereignty.

Let us commemorate 65 years of the Victory!

On 9 May we commemorate the 65th anniversary of the victory over Nazi-fascism - the most violent and brutal expression of the monopoly domination in a capitalist system in deep crisis – which led humankind to one of the worst catastrophes in its history, with the barbarity of concentration camps and the Second World War’s procession of death and destruction for the peoples.

We are commemorating the 65 years of the victory over Nazi-Fascism, a memorable event, which determined and continues to mark profoundly Humanity’s recent history. On May 9th. 1945 millions of men and women celebrated in Europe the end of the World War II, convinced and hopeful that, that after the most brutal and destructive imperialist war, a future of freedom and peace would lie ahead for the peoples of the planet.
