We are commemorating the 65 years of the victory over Nazi-Fascism, a memorable event, which determined and continues to mark profoundly Humanity’s recent history. On May 9th. 1945 millions of men and women celebrated in Europe the end of the World War II, convinced and hopeful that, that after the most brutal and destructive imperialist war, a future of freedom and peace would lie ahead for the peoples of the planet.

"(…) Its is true that, since the end of the 1970s , the neoliberal offensive unleashed by capitalism, as a response to its profound crisis, already revealed its goals of recovering all the ground that it had lost an re-establishing – or even increasing – the previous existing levels of exploitation of labour.

Last Monday, on 19th April, at the PCP’s Headquarters and at its invitation, there was a meeting between the leadership of the Portuguese Communist Party and the Communist Party of Spain, with PCP’s General Secretary, Jerónimo de Sousa, receiving PCE’s General Secretary, José Luis Centella, elected during this Party’s 18th Congress held last November.
