The signs of future degradation of the international situation have multiplied. The crises’ spiral that strikes the poles of the capitalist troika is pushing the world to new explosive situations of unpredictable consequences. Facing the vortex of spreading of financial toxicity, the exploitation and hegemonic agenda of the imperialism doubles its virulence. Interference and destabilisation spread to countries and entire regions of the planet.
Running against time, the USA and NATO plan an unforeseen scale up of their global military strength. But the urgency of the crises carries within itself the development of contradictions and elements of inter-capitalist rivalry that do not stop to undermine the pillars of their common ground of conciliation .
Two decades after the disaggregation of USSR uncertainty intensifies. Despite the frenzy escalation against working rights and people’s sovereignty, the truth is that the “dilemmas” of the increasing systemic incapability of capitalism in holding on to the capital gain still exists. As an high-finance executive confesses, we live “weird and dangerous times” in which “anything is possible” (FT.com, 04.07.11)
EU is a good display of the gravity of the situation. The fallacy of the “social cohesion” is long gone and the disorientated capitalist government claims absolute power of a European super-directory to keep managing the decadent process of transference of public property to the hands of private monopolies.
Sticking to the logic of inevitability that has imposed unfair and unbearable social sacrifices to millions of men and women workers, challenging their dignity and fundamental rights, the big capital also wants to convert the “crises of the sovereign debt” in an attack to sovereignty principles.
This was clearly demonstrated by the recent example of Greece. It’s the senior representative of the Euro Zone, Jean-Claude Juncker, who states: “Greece’s sovereignty will be strongly limited” and the solution has includes “privatisation of the State Actives in a scale similar to what was done in Oriental Germany in the 90ies” (Reuters, 03.07.11). The also Luxembourg PM was referring to the Treuhand model, the public trustee agency responsible for tearing apart the economy of the GDR, in a privatisation campaign only overrun in history by the misappropriation of the treasury of the ex-USSR.
It is clear that for Junker and for the EU the fact that Treuhand has closed with a passive calculated in more that 250 thousand of million of marks is a minor detail.
The qualitative step forward in the attack to sovereignty makes this a central question that will mark the “European process” and, similarly, to incorporate the resistance and struggle to the essence of class, of capitalist centralisation and concentration.
The existence and preservation of national independence is not possible in a context of the lack of principles that guide the effective fulfilment of sovereignty. The frontal assault to sovereignty and independence of the state members, in agreement with the EU nature, is against the principles of democratic regimes.
Such process which, furthermore, articulates and connects with the neocolonial escalation of the imperialism, by imposing the principles of intervention, extra-territorial and the complete subversion of international law that we follow nowadays.
However, one should not forget that “King is naked”, and further demonstrated by the crises’ abysm.
The tendency towards the profound reorganisation of the world’s strengths will not stop. The resistance and lucidity of workers, people and social progressive forces will determine its course and contours, which, fighting for the their rights and dignity, for a world of peace and for the a effective emancipation and socialism, will move forward the wheel of History.
