The recent developments on Ukraine ‘s situation are a major worry for democrats and anti-fascists.

Among these, is the announcement of the amending of laws on May 15th – upon a huge history falsification – and aim to criminalize the Soviet Union and, in practical terms, forbid the communist ideology and hinder the Communist Party of Ukraine activity, as well as of other Ukrainian democratic and anti-fascist forces. Laws, which simultaneously aim to “legitimate” and promote the “ Ukrainian Nationalists Organization” and the “Ukrainian Rebel Army” which, as one ought to remember, committed huge atrocities against the Soviet Union and Poland ‘s populations and collaborated with SS Nazi hordes, during World War II.

This decision coming from the Kiev’s authorities, pronounces the intensifying of political, anti-communist and anti-democratic repression, of the current Ukraine pro-fascist and militarization process, unleashed by the state coup in February 2014, developed and supported by the USA, EU and NATO.

Pointing out that it is with the active connivance of the USA, EU and NATO (and the great “Western” media means silence) that the coup forces within Ukraine – integrating organizations which claim the Nazi-Fascist inheritance – disrespect rights and freedoms, carry out acts of brutal violence, including aggressions and assassinations, against the communists and other democrats and anti-fascists, establishing an intimidating and persecutory regime, unleashing war against the Donbass populations, who resist the coup orders.

Not openly announcing, none the less, the intense and systematic misinformation campaign, with which they try to divide the Ukrainian people and hinder their real responsibilities, crimes and intents , together with the promulgation of these laws, the Kiev authorities expose their power’s fascist nature, assumed, more and more, as an authentic terrorist dictatorship, issued from the oligarchs allied to imperialism. Their aim is to impose by violence, the Ukrainian people’s exploitation, the colossal plunder of their resources (under the IMF( USA) tutelage and the EU) and the insertion of Ukraine in the bellicose escalade against the Russian Federation.

Alias, in order to comprehend the current situation within Ukraine, one must consider it is part of a NATO, USA and EU advance strategy towards the East – and therefore , as can be recalled, equally passed by the Yugoslavia destruction - in the sequence of the Soviet Union ending and the socialist countries within Europe. It is important to note, it is the result of the offensive conducted by the North-American imperialism which, together with its allies, tries to insure its hegemony, by intensifying its exploitation, imposing its political and economic domain, attacking states’ sovereignty and independence, by making Fascists forces advance and launching war – within a more general framework of the capitalism structural crisis, the wide re-arrangement forces process at a world level and the workers and peoples resistance and struggle for their rights and emancipation.

The current laws, amended by the Kiev authorities, that demand the most firm denouncement and condemnation, are directed against the Ukrainians, who, whether or not, resist and struggle against oppression, exploitation, war and for freedom, democracy, progress and peace – communists and other democrats and anti-Fascists, to whom one owes the widest solidarity expression.
