On the International Space - 40 Festivals of internationalist solidarity

The international dimension of the Avante! Festival has been over the years the most important activity of international scope carried out by the Party, on a regular and annual basis.

The theme of this year's Avante! Festival is "Avante! Festival -40 years of internationalist solidarity."
As in previous years, the International Space (IS) will have a political exhibition whose theme will be the "Avante! Festival - the Festival of Solidarity, in a struggle for a better world, for democracy and socialism!” It will evoke the solidarity of the 40 editions of the Festival, focusing on events of great historical and political symbolism and simultaneously on the struggles that continue to mark our days, on the successes of solidarity and those that have not yet had the outcome for which we fight, will continue to merit our unyielding solidary commitment.

We will have more space for more solidarity. The IS will have a larger area for fraternizing and mutual understanding among visitors and the parties that visit us and participate in the festival. The Solidarity Stage will occupy the place which was previously occupied by the Avanteatro. In the place traditionally occupied by the stage, visitors will find the Space of Debates, this being one of the great novelties of the IS, where international issues that mark the present will be debated.

There will also be political and cultural initiatives of solidarity with various peoples in struggle, which will mark not only the IS but also the programme of various Regional Organisations of the Party.

The IS will continue to have on the Solidarity Stage a place where music and culture of different peoples will have its due highlight. The colourful diversity of revolutionary and progressive organisations from all around the world participating in our Festival with their stands will be strengthened this year, further enhancing its internationalist dimension.
