The hysterical campaign round Aleppo liberation is unquestionable. Far from celebrating the ending of four years of war in that great Syrian city, the media, governments and the imperialist powers´ parliaments remain hysterical with the defeat of those, who general Wesley Clark, the ex-chief of NATO’s troops during the Yugoslavia war, calling them( literally) “the “good” jihadists financed by our allies”(in USA Today, 2016.02.11). The above mentioned “good jihadists” are those who behead children, and at the same time receive military support from the USA (in BBC,2016.07.21). Those who devour the Syrian soldiers’ bowels , they have killed, as the BBC said, “ritual cannibalism” (in BBC, 2013. 07.05), and thereafter interviewed by the British media to “explain” their attitude. (The Telegraph, 2013.05.19). Those who every single day bomb civilian targets in the non-occupied Aleppo and murder the Syrian Christian community ( as stated by Mother Guadalupe, a catholic missionary, from Argentina, who has lived in Aleppo, for the past four years; observator.pt,, 2016.02.25). They are the mercenaries, paid by the Gulf petro-dictatorships (ABC News or Times of Israel, 2012.04.01), known and intransigent defensors of democracy and the peoples’ rights… And the Pentagon (in NY Times, 2014.09.18) or Reuters, 2015.06.22).
The people of Aleppo suffering was reality. On both sides of the town and not but the East part. It happened because imperialism ( USA and EU) choose , from the beginning, the protests militarization in 2011, arming and financing bands of terrorists in order to carry out “ the change of the regime”, so many times publically demanded by Obama, Clinton, Hollande, Cameron and so on. The war in Syria is not “civil”. It is, on the contrary, an aggression external war, with the purpose of destroying and fragmenting the country, to better control the region’s great resources.
None of this is new. In 1957 “Harold Macmillan [the British PM] and Dwight Eisenhower, [president of the USA] agreed with a plan ( of their intelligence) the CIA and the M16 in order to set up false incidents, with the pretext of an invasion unto Syria, by its pro-western neighbors”, as proved by official documents discovered in 2003 (in The Guardian, 2003.09.27). Even the speech seems to be up-to-date: “ The plan concerns the creation of a “Free Syria Committee” and the armament belonging to political factions holding pro-military capacities[…] within Syria. The CIA and the M16 ought to instigate internal risings . Imperialism never easily accepted peoples’ liberation. In May 1945, in the precise month World War II ended, “ French troops occupied the Syrian parliament headquarters, in Damascus, entering, upon having destroyed with artillery shooting, according with the British United Press correspondents […] French planes dropped many bombs on Damascus and the French troops destroyed several streets, [in the city] , (in Sunday Morning Herald, 1945.05.31). All to stop the people of Syria achieve their independence, upon 400 years of Turkish-Ottoman domain and a quarter of century of French colonization. All, a few months upon the Paris liberation from the German occupation.
Hysteria is high, as imperialism’s defeat in Aleppo is hard. The UN Syrian Ambassador states that USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia Qatar, Turkey, Morocco and Jordan intelligence agents are under siege within Aleppo. Hysteria is the result of imperialist leaders awareness that, more and more, are loosing the ideological control over peoples. As, a few days ago, it was proved before the defeat (another one) on the referendum to alter the Italian Constitution. What makes the question legitimate: what does the BE and other left-wing forces, by supporting propaganda campaigns that seek to “ legitimate” imperialist wars? And that had happened during the war in Libya. They never learn? Or do not want to?
