The celebrations of the 41 anniversary of the 25 April mobilized many hundreds of thousands of people which, in demonstrations, shows, cultural and sports initiatives, expressed their commitment to the values and realizations of the April Revolution and their will to see them implemented in the future of Portugal .

More than to evoke an historical landmark, the celebrations gave expression to the protest against the course of disaster which the country is being forced to follow, expressing also the popular demand of an alternative course for the country, one of progress, social justice and sovereignty – which April initiated and proved to be possible. An alternative course that the struggle of the people, sooner than later, will turn in reality. .
