PCP reaffirms solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution faced with an attempted coup

In view of the recent attempted coup against the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its legitimate President, Nicolás Maduro, the PCP reaffirms its strong condemnation of the manoeuvres of political, economic and media destabilization carried out by the reactionary forces in that country.

At the same time, stressing that this new putschist attempt and the unending anti-democratic campaign are part of an increasing interference and aggression promoted by the US against the constitutional government of Venezuela, the PCP strongly condemns the interference and the imposition of sanctions by the United States on Venezuela and draws attention to the gravity of the set of actions that aim to jeopardize the sovereignty and independence of Venezuela, the emancipating course of the Bolivarian Revolution and its undeniable democratic achievements and social accomplishments, over the last 16 years.

Confident that the patriotic and revolutionary Venezuelan forces will not allow the Venezuelan people to be deprived of the inalienable right to decide their future and path of development, defeating yet another violent anti-democratic campaign, the PCP calls for solidarity with the Venezuelan people and its patriotic and revolutionary forces and their struggle in defence of the Bolivarian Revolution, as well as with the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its legitimate
